Workshop Submission General Process

The process of selecting workshops for the weekend begins in October with the Workshop Submission Process. An online form will be posted on the website and all presenters will be asked to fill out and submit their application for each workshop they would like to present. This year, a presenter or co-presenter will fill out one personal information form and then will be able to fill out as many submittal forms as they would like using just their names to connect the two files. Submissions will be accepted until November 8, 2017.
After the proposal closing date, a team of reviewers will read and score each application (see criteria below). The review committee will then meet and provide their final recommendations for the 2018 IMsL/IMsBB Weekend. Presenters will be notified on November 15, 2017. Once they’ve accepted, the workshops will be posted on the website and scheduling for the workshops will be completed.

If you have never submitted a workshop or just want to learn more about the process, there will be an information call in October that is open to everyone. During the hour call, we will review this policy, provide some suggestions and insights on what the reviewers and education program will be looking for in the submissions. This session will be recorded in case you can’t attend and the link posted on the workshop page.
Once the workshops are selected and accepted, presenters will receive instructions on how to use their complimentary basic registration for the weekend (see benefits for more details). There will also be a presenter meeting in March 2018 to discuss what to consider when presenting at the weekend and provide more detailed information about the weekend (you will be sent this link later in the process). Please review the guidelines before you begin the submission process. Thank you in advance for being part of the education process!
