Workshop Submission General Process

Submit a Workshop: The process of selecting workshops for the weekend begins in the Fall of 2018 with the Workshop Submission Process. There are two online forms to submit a workshop. The first form covers information about the workshop, and the second form covers information about the presenter/s. Presenters submit just one presenter form but may submit as many workshop forms as they would like to offer for consideration. Submissions will be accepted until 12/16/2018.

Workshop Review: After the closing date, a team of reviewers read and score each workshop application (see criteria below) individually and submit their scores. The review committee meets, discusses their ratings and creates a recommendation list of their top picks for the 2019 IMsLBB Weekend. The recommendations are reviewed by the Education team for final selection, which includes a stand-by list.

Invitation to Present: Presenters will be notified in early January by the Education team if their workshops have been accepted, if they would be willing to be put on a waiting list or if their workshops were not accepted. When you accept the invitation from the Education Team, your workshops and you, as the presenter(s), will be added to the website. Scheduling should be final by 2/6/2018.

This email will request any additional information on your workshop and provide details on how to use your complimentary basic registration for the weekend (see benefits for more details). If you are returning top presenter, your email will also include details on how to use your complimentary hotel night in which case, you will be required to send in your hotel confirmation number. As such, be sure to register for the IMsLBB Weekend and book your hotel room as quickly as possible.

Presenter Webinars:

·         Workshop Submittal Information Webinar - If you have never submitted a workshop or just want to learn more about the process, join the Education team for an information call on 11/6/2018 that is open to everyone. During the hour call, we will review this process and provide some suggestions and insights on what the reviewers the Education team are looking for in the submissions. This session will be recorded in case you can’t attend or for later reference, and the link posted on the workshop page.

·         2019 Presenter Webinar – For all confirmed presenters, an informational webinar will be held on 3/20/2019 to discuss what to consider when presenting at the IMsLBB Weekend and to ensure you have all the information you need to be successful. The webinar will be recorded, and the link will be sent to you after the webinar if you can’t make it.

Please review the guidelines in the Selection Criteria section before you begin the submission process. Thank you in advance for being part of the education process!
